چکیده
Background: Traumatic cataract accounts for a large proportion of monocular visual disability and blindness in pediatric populations, especially developing countries. This study aims to evaluate the axial length other biometric data changes after penetrating corneal wound eyes.
Methods: is prospective comparative control carried on thirty children with unilateral ocular trauma associated cataract. Patients were classified into 3 groups: Group A (n= 15 eyes) underwent extraction IOL implantation same session 6 weeks trauma, B extraction, second months third one group 30 contralateral eyes both groups
 Results: Regarding length, measures reported be was (22.882 ± 0.712) mm (A) from incidence while (B) it (22.568 0.881) mm. P-value insignificant (0.292). After 12 weeks, mean AL 23.199 0.724) (22.903 1.008) p value as well (0.362). K-readings found 41.184 2.109 (42.928 2.433). 41.491 1.729 (42.797 2.518).
Conclusion: Early I/A anterior vitrectomy recommended cases free lens AC fear reaction, wait stitches removal.

This is the fourth of a series of yearly conferences on the physiology of prematurity, which are attended by 25 invited persons of varied disciplines. These bring their different approaches to bear in the discussions which center about an informally presented topic on a given day in which one or two of the guests are featured. This conference was built around three topics: heat regulation (pres...
متن کاملRole of thrombospondin-1 in repair of penetrating corneal wounds.
PURPOSE Thrombospondin-1 (THBS1) has been suggested as a corneal wound-healing modulator. Therefore, we compromised the integrity of the cornea to elucidate the role of THBS1. METHODS Full-thickness penetrating corneal incisions (1.5 mm) were created in wild type (WT, 129S2/SvPas) and THBS1-deficient mice (Thbs1⁻/⁻), 129S2/SvPas-Thbs1(tm1Hyn)/Thbs1(tm1Hyn)), and allowed to heal up to 1 month,...
متن کاملCorneal endothelial cell changes twenty years after penetrating keratoplasty.
PURPOSE To evaluate retrospectively the corneal endothelium in 15 eyes which showed clear cornea for 20 years or longer after penetrating keratoplasty. METHODS The corneal endothelium was investigated in 15 eyes. The causative lesion had been keratoconus in 10 eyes and herpetic keratitis in 5 eyes. At the time of surgery, the patients were aged from 6 to 45 years, average 25.3 +/- 10.4 years....
متن کاملCorneal hysteresis changes in diabetic eyes.
In their recent article, Goldich et al. found that corneal hysteresis (CH), corneal resistance factor (CRF), and central corneal thickness were significantly higher in diabetic eyes than in healthy eyes and CH was claimed to be related to the corneal stiffness. However, we found significantly lower CH values in diabetic eyes than in eyes of healthy subjects. We believe that the statements that ...
متن کاملCorneal dioptric power after penetrating keratoplasty.
The dioptric power of the cornea (spherical equivalent) was studied in 60 eyes operated on for penetrating keratoplasty. In order to determine the possible influence of (1) the underlying pathology, (2) the presence of neovascularisation, or (3) the size of the graft the sample was divided into four groups, with the following results: group A (keratoconus, same-sized graft) = 42.25 D; group B (...
